Rod Stewart once sang, "Every picture tells a story, don't it?" Our answer is, "And then some!" Storyville was built to tell stories, take people on journeys, move them, inform them and yes - at the risk of sounding like gravy sucking capitalists - sell them. We're a full-service boutique editorial facility. We post music videos, films, trailers, television shows, commercials, sales videos, infomercials, and more. If your story is worth telling, it's worth telling well.

One of the first things we should share is that we're not located in some industrial park where all the offices suites look the same. We're located in Nashville's historic "Cannery Row," where bands with strange names play at a nearby club at night and farmers deliver fresh produce to the food merchant downstairs during the day. Cannery Row is a cacophony of sights and smells and we wouldn't have it any other way. Our particular building used to be a warehouse and important things are still kept there today. Like music videos for the hottest stars and the projects of ad agencies from around the country who have chosen to finesse their tales in Storyville.

If the atmosphere at Storyville seems laid back, that's because our people have paid their dues. They've learned their craft over years and years of late night emergencies and weekend deadlines. They don't take their standards of excellence in stride, they just know stressing about 'em doesn't achieve 'em.

Mark Pruett - Owner/Senior Editor

With over 20 years experience, Mark's been both a director and editor. He's worked with folks like the Dixie Chicks, Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich, Brad Paisley, Trisha Yearwood, Alan Jackson and LeAnn Rimes. One of the computer monitors he works on was a gift from Kenny Chesney and - oh - you get the idea. He'd modestly say, "I've been lucky," but it's more than that. He's good! He's won the CMA Video Of The Year, three Emmys, and more advertising honors than we've got space to list here.

Tim Moore - Smoke/Flint/Avid

Tim brings over 25 years experience to your project that began at, no kidding, the tender age of 15 when he was a cameraman for a TV station in Beaumont, Texas. After gaining experience at stations in larger and larger markets as a cameraman, writer and editor of commercials, which, by the way, included winning an Emmy, Tim became a post house editor. His list of clients have included Bud Light, Honda, Burger King, McDonald's and Proctor & Gamble to name but a few. Fluent in both the 'Flame' and 'Smoke' systems, he makes the complicated effect seem deceptively easy.

Mark Mitchell - Editor/Owner

Like most the people at Storyville, Mark's worn a lot of different production hats: directing, shooting & editing. He's shot television programs throughout the world and has worked with prime ministers, ambassadors, a variety of celebrities and even a U.S. President. ("Don't hold that, against me," he says.) He's been in production for over 30 years ("Started when I was 9.") and still hits every project with hunger and untainted eyes. He has a corral full of awards including 16 Emmys and reads Cowboys & Indians magazine. That fact, alone, make him cooler than all the 20-something bedhead editors who only use one name like, "Marmadude."

Patrick Compton - Media Management

Patrick fell in love with radio in high school...until he figured out there was no money it. So in 1996 he switched to television for the glamour, short hours, and big money....(somebody should really say something to him)... In 1996 he attended the Defense Information School in Baltimore, MD, with a focus in Radio/TV Journalism, and Public Affairs, and followed at MTSU with a pursuit in Mass Communications, were he spent 40,000 dollars on an education he could've gotten with $10 in late fees at the Nashville Public Library. He began his career as a tv news photographer shortly after, which included a stint at News Channel 5 (CBS), in Nashville. His glamourous, high paying, short houred career in news ended when some guy decided it was time to invade a country that posed a real threat to the safety and sanctity of - nobody inparticular...and being in the Army Reserves - Patrick was put on a plane in 2003 to combat the tyrannical injustices, and terrorism abroad with his video camera, and suave PR skills... Patrick has worked with Mark Pruett, and Storyville Post in some way shape form or fashion since 2003. Patrick's dream is to bring the art of assistant editing, and tape room management into the 22nd century....with innovations such as "osmosis dubbing", and his newest venture: "tapes that label themselves"... Patrick is also A director/cinematographer in his own right - even though he hardly ever gets paid for it (though he's damn good - *wink *wink) he kinda likes ramen and bologna for dinner...

It's not just a commercial, it's a calling card to the public. It's not just a music video, it's a career that took years to build. A lot of time, effort and money goes into your projects before you bring it to post. So, bring it to a facility that "gets it." Bring it to Storyville. After all, every picture does tell a story.
